Who is The Carbon Trust?
The Carbon Trust is a global climate consultancy dedicated to helping businesses, governments, and institutions reduce their carbon emissions and operate more sustainably. Having over 20 years of experience as climate pioneers, The Carbon Trust is on a mission to help businesses reach a decarbonised future on their journey to net zero emissions; making them the ideal partner to work with when reporting our renewable electricity.
The Carbon Trust label verifies our ‘SmartFix Renewable’ electricity products
*100% of the electricity supplied is renewable, backed by certificates of renewable energy guarantees of origin. Emission factor compliant with the GHG Protocol Scope 2 guidance and to be used for the ‘market-based’ method.
What is The Carbon Trust Renewable Energy Verification?
The Carbon Trust Renewable Electricity verification is a globally recognised verification confirming that our green electricity products are 100% renewable; meaning you can trust that all of our renewable electricity has been generated entirely by renewable energy sources (such as hydro, solar, or wind).
How does this benefit your business?
The Carbon Trust provide ongoing monitoring of our processes to guarantee that our renewable energy is powered from certified renewable sources throughout the entirety of your contract. When choosing our renewable product, you’ll also receive a renewable commitment certificate issued alongside your tree planting commitment certificate and net zero badge.
Additionally, this means that your business can rest assured knowing that you can report 0g COZ/KwH emitted for purchased electricity in accordance with the GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance for the market-based method. Or in simple terms, it’s an important step on your journey to net zero.
